Bucket List

In no particular order, these are the things I would like to achieve before I kick the bucket. Things crossed through are stuff I've already achieved.

1. Get engaged and married to the love of my life {halfway done. read here}
2. Dive with sharks
3. Travel from the Angolan border of Namibia to the coast of
Mozambique. In a vintage car, with a pop down roof.
4. Learn to speak French. So far I can say “Bonjour, como sa va"
And I didn’t even google it.
5. Become a published author. I still have no idea what I’m going
   to write about.
6. Go snorkeling
7. See Mumford & Sons live
8. Learn to speak Italian
9. Travel to Italy and see the place from corner to corner
10. Jump in the Trevi Fountain
11. Visit an authentic Tuscan olive farm
12. Fly first class. I’ve had my fair share of flying and the
worst planes are those little eight seater ones.
13. Compete in a TV game show, ie Idols or Who wants to be a
Millionaire. I don’t think this should be on my list though.
I have no guts to do it.
14. Learn to sew (here)
15. See Florence & The Machine live
16. Attend the Burning Man festival
17. Become a mother
18. Go camping. But like the real mccoy experience. Note that I
do not camp! (here I think Oppikoppi counted as camping)
19. Learn to speak Spanish
20. Go skydiving  (here)
21. Touch and play with a lion  (here)
22. Take dance classes. We are actually planning to do this soon.
If I can just convince the beau. It was his idea, but now
    he’s being stubborn.
23. Travel to Thailand (here & here)
24. Scale the Eiffel Tower. Have I ever mentioned how scared I am
    of heights?
25. See Bon Iver live
26. Attend Woodstock in England
27. Own a house (here)
28. Visit the Netherlands, especially Edam, Maastricht and
    Amsterdam
29. While I’m at it, visit a tulip field and the windmills
30. Buy a wheel of cheese and clogs
31. Check out the Red Light District
32. Own a Scottish terrier
33. Own a Staffordshire terrier {read all about her here}
34. Own a bearded dragon
35. Own a snake
36. Try and own them all at the same time. This is probably going
to be the most challenging thing on my list.
37. Write on a street sign  (here)
38. See the Counting Crows live
39. Eat sushi in Japan
40. Attend the Rio de Janeiro festival
41. Road trip to Cape Town, through the Karoo and the Winelands
42. Go on a motorbike or scooter trip in Vietnam. Think Top Gear.
43. Speaking of Top Gear. Meet James May. I love him.
44. Attend Oktoberfest and get smash faced
45. Spend a weekend in a lodge, with a fireplace and bear skin
    rugs. That’s so cheesy
46. Win more than R200 in Black Jack
47. See the Aurora Borealis with my love
48. Ride a Vespa in Paris
49. Ride an elephant
50. Achieve an Honors Degree in Media Studies
51. Finish my English Degree
52. Get a diploma in photography
53. Attend my ten-year high school reunion. I missed my 7th grade
one. But I had something else to do
54. Shave my head
55. Fly in a helicopter
56. Become a teetotaler for at least two months
57. Lose 12 kgs
58. Run a 10 km Marathon. I put running behind me as soon as I
matriculated, so this is going to take some work.
59. Watch a movie at the drive-in with the beau. He’s been
    nagging me to do it.
60. Run with the bulls in Pamplona. This is where learning
Spanish will come in handy, then I can curse in Spanish.
61. Attend Tomatina, the tomato festival in Spain.
62. Learn to play an instrument
63. Make a success of something in life. That, I still have to
decide on what it might be. Like own my own craft business.
64. Go on a biking trip between Vineyards. Like literally ride a
pedal bike between different wine farms, while getting smash
faced. I don’t think the teetotaler thing is going to be
    easy.
65. Do some sort of charity work
66. Cook something like a ten course dinner. I hate cooking.
67. Own a cow! Complete with a cow bell
68. Travel to South America and see Machu Pichu, in Peru
69. Buy the perfect pair of boots, preferably cowgirl that will
last me at least six years.
70. Cook a lobster, ala Julie/Julia
71. Be a maid of honour
72. Go paragliding
73. Own an authentic piece of art. Not something I steal with my
eye and commission others to do for cheaper.
74. Travel to places where world history was made, such as
    Jerusalem, Germany and London
75. See Kings of Leon live
76. Attend OppiKoppi (here)
77.    Get cremated and have my ashes planted in the ground with a tree, so that I can grow again. That’s very hippyish of me, isn't it? And someone else will have to cross this off my list, I guess.

That's all I have for now. I might add some extra things I would like to achieve before my end of days. Hope you enjoyed reading it.

I love your bucket list - especially all the traveling! I've done some of the thinks like eat sushi in japan, roadtrip to cape town, go on a scooter trip through vietnam, and cage dive with sharks - but there's so many other things on your list that I would also looove to see and do, but haven't yet!

Excited to read about your progress!

First off, amazing list! I saw one of the things on your list is to attend Burning Man. My hubby went last year and he is going again this year. He loves it, but not my kind of thing...hope you get an opportunity to go one day!

Oh lady... you could be my soul mate! I would love to join you on all of your bucket list activities! Except maybe number 77. That one should maybe be accomplished solo. But Mumford & Sons, Florence and the Machine and Italy? I'm totally in!
