As our country is so famous for its splendid wine, and we were in the wine making capital, Flip and I visited our favourite wine maker Durbanville Hills for a bit of a wine tasting. Flip always spoils me with a few bottles, that he buys from the farm, when he goes to Cape Town for business. I was really curious to see the place of origin of my favourite libation.
It's a real treat and something different to try. Just don't do it in a hurry, you might end up drunk.

I also did the wine and chocolate pairing. Was very good. There's a little wine farm just down the street from it called Suikerboom - it has amazing wines and wine tasting is only R15!

Can you believe I live so close and have never visited Durbanville Hills??
My favourite farm is Buitenverwachting, but I'm a little biased!!

I visit these places, but only for the view and picture opportunities (the teetotaler that I am)
